Just to get the discussion flowing... hopefully.
I'm curious about your favorite puzzle type(s). I know people have different tastes, for example I hate Sudoku which everyone seems to love etc. And to start this off I'll list my favorites:
Fences
Easy as ABC and Skyscrapers
Shadows
Spokes
Panorama (I've never even heard about this puzzle before I got here so double thanks!)
Fillomino (Thank you rantash for making such beautiful Fillominos!)
Tapa
Heyawake
And I enjoy many more. I can't help but wonder what makes some puzzles more enjoyable (subjectively) than others...
So what are your favorites?

My favorites at the moment are Hamilton Maze, Easy as ABC, LITS and Tapa.

My current favorites: Fences, Spokes, LITS, Fillomino, Masyu, Hitori, Spiral Galaxies, Country Road.
Mostly shape construction puzzles it seems.

For me, it really depends on the day. Latin square variations work well in my mind (sudoku/skyscrapers/abc's /Staircases). Alternatively I also like some path ones, like Country Road, Tapa and Masyu. They have some very good variations and beautiful logic.
Honey Islands, on the other hand... I still just can't see how to make progress in them... I of course welcome tips

My favorites are probably Fillomino, Heyawake, LITS, Masyu, and Slitherlink, although it's worth pointing out that, in my years of experience, puzzles of any genre by Nikoli are generally far better than almost every other source I've encountered, and I would rather solve a Nikoli Kakuro or Sudoku than most non-Nikoli Slitherlink puzzles I've run into.

I have to agree with connect4: it depends. I can enjoy solving (or making) a lot of puzzles of a given type, and then I've had enough of them for a while.
In general though, I like types with very simple/natural rules that still allow for interesting puzzles (to name some examples, Fences or Staircases), while I don't really like the types that have too many rules to keep track of (such as LITS and Masyu).

I'm a big fan of Spokes and Tents and Trees. I also enjoy the Panorama puzzles, but they are somewhat harder to do on paper.

It's interesting to see some names show up more frequently than others. Tapa, Masyu and especially Fences/Slitherlink seem to be rather popular around here.

Looking at the statistics, there are currently four genres that have over 100 solves per puzzle (by registered members) on average:
Spokes: 130.9
Hamilton Maze: 130.5
Waterfun: 110.2
Fences: 101.0
This could either mean they are popular, or just very easy.

My current favorites are magnets, water fun, spokes, spiral galaxies, and anglers. I agree with Maarten about prefering simple/natural rules. It's not an issue about not being able to learn the rules, they just have a contrived feel to them. Another aesthetic issue can be the size of the puzzle.Even a difficult problem should comfortably fit on a computer screen without the need for scrolling or being hard to read from smallness. So far that's one thing I like about this site.

Of the puzzles that are offered here these are some of my favorites:
(in no particular order)
Spokes
Tents and Trees
Arrows
Hamilton Maze
Magnets
Futoshiki
Penta
Grades
Staircases
I've been searching the web to find other sources of these and many other puzzles. I recently downloaded Simon Tatham's Magnets puzzleprogram, which is part of his Portable Puzzle Collection.

I got an appetite for Star Battle puzzles yesterday after I solved DarkMurad's new one. They're quite interesting when the star count > 1.
