Number: Puzzle #717
Genre: Nonogram

I have a feeling that this one is bugged. Either that or it's a pretty big Missed Crowning Moment of Awesome. I really thought the picture will (SPOILER) show how to solve the 6 remaining pieces and it does. But somehow it doesn't...

I redid this one out of curiousity what you mean.
But I did not to look at the picture to solve it, and have no clue what "the 6 remaining pieces" refers to.
The puzzle is pretty easy.

Please elaborate.

I'm sorry for not being too clear. I'll try to show you what I meant.

This puzzle contains two rows and three columns without a number. I've realized these probably mean that there's no number in them and stay empty. But when I first saw it I thought it works on the same principle as ABC or Skyscrapers, where an empty row/column indicates an unknown number/letter.

However in the puzzle #717 these empty rows and columns cross on 6 places. If the emptiness denoted unknown numbers there would be no way to decide what to put in those 6 places. But when you solve the rest of the puzzle it shows you a way to solve those 6 places in a somewhat recursive way (indicated by the red color). And it looked pretty awesome no matter how easy the puzzle is.

But sadly this isn't the case.

I hope I'm not breaking any forum rules by showing the picture.

It is a bit of a trade off between several factors. You propose a cute fix, but after weighing the alternatives a bit, I'm still gonna go for the original 'clean' solution.
